Inside The Addict’s Mind

Sweet clouds handed down like a gift
Little lines that give way to bliss
An energy unmatched, a happiness unleashed
A rush, a flooding feeling of comfort
Darkness pushed to the back
Comradery and smiles
High fives and laughs
Loud music and shouting
Wicked, wicked desires
Never quelled never suppressed
Just ignored, never forget
Incomes become offerings
Knees give way to begging
Only searching for the laughing
The handshakes and the hugs
How quickly they turned to smacking
Insults and guns
Meals forfeited, friendships wasted
Just give me a little taste
Please, I’m aching
